Here’s another reinterpretation of an old Lumix RW2 RAW file.
On March 31, 2017, I made this pan of a Route 18 tram in the Köln, Germany, tram subway using my Lumix LX7.
Modern software has opened up new possibilities for working with my Lumix RW2 files. As I illustrated in yesterday’s post, I converted the RAW file to DNG format using PureRAW 5 with DeepPRIME 3 corrections, then imported the DNG into Lightroom to lighten shadows, adjust color, and improve contrast.
I’ve included two versions of the DNG file. The top image is displayed without cosmetic adjustments in Lightroom; the bottom image reflects my Lightroom adjustments.

Notice the improved detail in the shadow areas of the adjusted image.
