Why settle for one view, if you can make two?

Under a bright midday June sky, Kris and I were exploring Norfolk Southern’s Pittsburgh Line west of Enola. I made this pair of photos from rural grade crossing of an eastward double stack freight on the roll.

In the lead was NS ES44DC 7501. While a common looking locomotive, this is no spring chicken. It was among the early GE-Evolution Series diesels, and built at Erie back in early 2004.

The top photo was exposed using my Nikon Z7-II with a 70-200mm lens set at 200mm; the bottom image was made a few seconds later with my Z6 with a 24-70mm set at 32mm.

I’m undecided as to which image I prefer.
