In March 1999, I exposed this portrait view from a rooftop on Wellington Quay. Entrance to the building was just opposite ‘The Temple Bar’.
Working with an N90S with a Tokina 400mm lens, I quickly composed this frame as Irish Rail’s evening ‘down Rosslare’ rolled across the Loop Line bridge behind an EMD-built 071 class diesel.

“THE HOME OF THE [clock@5:30] WORLD’S ” what? Is that complete sign memorable – like the “TRENTON MAKES [bridge pier] THE WORLD TAKES” sign as seen from the PRR when crossing the Delaware River?
The late afternoon sun is vital for this composition.
The clock shows 17:30 but the down Rosslare was surely 18:30. Maybe Summertime had come in but the clock had not been updated.
