The other day, Ken Fox and I inspected the recently opened Waterford Greenway on the old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan.
The viaduct at Kilmacthomas is especially impressive.
I made these views using my FujiFilm XT-1 with Zeiss 12mm Touit lens.
The railway line was out of service for decades; the old right of way was recently converted to a ‘Greenway’ (A cycle/hiking path). So the bridge has in essence been restored to service, just not for railway service.
I am not familiar with this beautiful bridge or the railway line. I can’t determine from the narrative if the bridge is now again in use, or did the new line take a different route to avoid this area? Surely looks stable . . .
Not yet. My Wifi has been down, so I posted late from a coffee shop.
There should be at least 48 hours worth of posts in the queue, although if I can’t get to them as per schedule (like today) there’s a chance that they might post later than usual.
Did you miss a day?
