Wednesday afternoon I exposed this sequence of photos of Conway Scenic Railroad’s Work Extra passing Notchland, New Hampshire .
This classic location alongo the former Maine Central Mountain DIvision is readily viewed from Route 302 that runs parallel to the tracks.
The Work Extra was reversing down grade with the conductor controlling the move from the back platform of the caboose.
I like the traditional arrangement of a single EMD GP9 with work train and caboose.
Which of these variations do you like best?
