Dynamic View of Chicago Departing Union Station.

I exposed this photo from the back of Silver Splendor as it rolled eastward on Amtrak no48, the Lake Shore Limited.

 For this photo I used my Lumix LX7, and by using a slow shutter speed I allowed the tracks to melt into a sea of motion blur.

Exposure details: f1.6 at 1/5thof a second. Camera steadied by the passenger car.

    On my phone this photo gives the sensation of movement more than any other I’ve seen – ever.

    Thanks for this incredible series of photos. By the end of this trip you should have the makings of a book. Did you get any photos of the interchange in Chicago? Of great interest will be details of interchanges in the East.
