August 12, 2011.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There are places that I\u2019ve visited repeatedly over the years, where I\u2019ve made hundreds, if not thousands of images, and explored from every angle and at all times of day and night.<\/p>\n

Then there are the places I\u2019ve visited just once, and rather briefly.<\/p>\n

On August 12, 2011, Pat Yough and I were driving across south central Ohio on our way to the annual Summerail<\/a> convention in Cincinnati. We started the morning in West Virginia, and on our way visited many places new to me.<\/p>\n

We paused at Circleville where Norfolk Southern and CSX north-south mainlines run parallel. Three southward NS trains were heading toward us, so in a relatively short span of time, I made several interesting images of trains on the move.<\/p>\n

Back in the day, this was a Pennsylvania Railroad town, and the old station still stood. Many the years since a scheduled train last stopped at the old depot.<\/p>\n

That was all. Just a few photos and we were on our way! Most of my trips across Ohio have been like that.<\/p>\n
