On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, I presented my Autumn Foliage & Light<\/em> class at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Afterwards, we made photographs on the museum grounds, both outside in the yard and inside the main hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, photographing at the museum is a visual exercise. Sometimes equipment in the yard is shuffled around, so this time I found that catching the Baldwin diesel switcher in nice morning light offered a change of scene. The biggest change I found on Tuesday’s visit was the exeptional progress to the new roundhouse that is under construction at the western edge of the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, since the exhibits in the main hall rarely change from visit to visit, I try to see things differently each time I photograph. This is an opportunity to make new photographs of familiar subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I largely worked with my Nikon Z6-III and 24-70mm lens. Here are a few of the photographs I made during the class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
