{"id":41177,"date":"2025-02-16T06:02:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-16T11:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/?p=41177"},"modified":"2025-02-14T22:16:03","modified_gmt":"2025-02-15T03:16:03","slug":"amtrak-649-passes-christiana-pa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/amtrak-649-passes-christiana-pa\/","title":{"rendered":"Amtrak 649 passes Christiana, Pa."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The other night wind was fierce, but I braved the conditions to make a photo at dusk of Amtrak&#8217;s westward 649-<em>Keystone\u2014<\/em>passing Christiana, Pa., on the former Pennsylvania Railroad main line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To capture the action, I&#8217;d set the ISO setting on my Nikon Z7-II to 4000, which allowed me 1\/1000th of a seond at f2.8. I&#8217;d set the focal length of my 70-200 zoom to 150mm, which gave me a good view of the old PRR station to the right of the train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This view was processed using Lightroom to boost color saturation, correct color balance, and improve both contrast and exposure. I may later import this Nikon RAW file into DxO Pure Raw to see how that software improves the image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
