{"id":38449,"date":"2024-03-03T04:54:32","date_gmt":"2024-03-03T09:54:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/?p=38449"},"modified":"2024-03-01T05:07:49","modified_gmt":"2024-03-01T10:07:49","slug":"great-western-railway-views-from-the-train","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/great-western-railway-views-from-the-train\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Western Railway\u2014views from the train."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I made these photos of the English country-side with my Nikon Z7-II from the window of our train on the way to and from Oxford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In post processing, I adjusted the camera&#8217;s NEF RAW files to help compensate for the effects of the tinted window glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, I got my best results when I kept the camera lens pressed against the window with the aperture wide open (f4.0) and the shutter speed set very high. In some situations, where I angled the camera to better capture the  scene, I caught some reflections from the lights inside the train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure data-wp-context=\"{
