We paused at White River Junction, Vermont, on our way back toward Pennsylvania with Boomer-the-Dog<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boomer stretched his legs. I wandered and made photos of the locomotives and the old station buildings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like the view of Boston & Maine 4-4-0 No. 494 with a GATX leased engine in the distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wonder what it was like when the common 4-4-0 ‘American’ ruled White River Junction? It was a different world then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
