Wednesday afternoon I exposed this sequence of photos of Conway Scenic Railroad’s Work Extra passing Notchland, New Hampshire .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This classic location alongo the former Maine Central Mountain DIvision is readily viewed from Route 302 that runs parallel to the tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Work Extra was reversing down grade with the conductor controlling the move from the back platform of the caboose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like the traditional arrangement of a single EMD GP9 with work train and caboose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
