Crossing Vermont from west to east in January, Kris and I paused at the old depot in Chester on Vermont Rail System’s Green Mountain Railroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first visit to Chester was back in the 1970s, when this was the regular run-around for the Steamtown excursion from Bellows Falls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freshly fallen snow covered the ground in our most recent visit, but the old station was just the way I remember it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made these photos using my Nikon mirrorless digital cameras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
