Yesterday afternoon (Thursday, October 8, 2020), I set up at the Gateway at Crawford Notch to photograph Conway Scenic’s Mountaineer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been focusing on this train to make publicity photos for advertising, social media, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sky above the White Mountains was a turmoil of clouds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly before the train departed Crawford Station eastbound, the sun peaked through a hole in the clouds and brightly illuminated the train against this textured sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was lucky, and later in the day this effect was repeated at Bartlett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
