Sun and clouds made for dramatic lighting near Fabyan, New Hampshire last weekend. Photographer Kris Sabbatino and I had been circumnavigating the mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In these views of the Mount Washington Hotel, its famous  namesake peak looms in the sunshine beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This obviates the description: \u2018in the shadow of Mount Washington\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d hoped for a shaft of sun to illuminate the famous early 20th<\/sup>\u00a0Century hotel, but the fading light wasn\u2019t cooperating. Maybe next time . . .\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
