{"id":26413,"date":"2019-04-22T00:02:56","date_gmt":"2019-04-22T04:02:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/?p=26413"},"modified":"2019-04-22T11:04:00","modified_gmt":"2019-04-22T15:04:00","slug":"rpsis-the-west-awake-eight-views-from-the-train","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/rpsis-the-west-awake-eight-views-from-the-train\/","title":{"rendered":"RPSI&#8217;s The West Awake\u2014Eight Views from the Train."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>One of the pleasures of traveling on an historic train is the ability to make photos of the line and passing scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Modern cameras with rear-displays make this much easier since it isn&#8217;t necessary to have your eye to the camera to compose photos, while built-in line levels aid in composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjustable ISO ratings allow selection of more appropriate shutter speeds for action images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a selection of photos I made from Railway Preservation Society of Ireland&#8217;s <em>The West Awake<\/em> excursion on 13 April 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><div>Photos were exposed using my Lumix LX7 and FujiFilm XT1. The Fuji benefits from an extendible and adjustable rear display that is especially useful on these trips.<\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1
