It rebuilt the locomotives at its North Fond du Lac shops.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, I lived in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Waukesha, Wisconsin\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=43.0116666667,-88.2316666667&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=43.0116666667,-88.2316666667 (Waukesha%2C%20Wisconsin)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Waukesha<\/a> within earshot of WC\u2019s former <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Soo Line Railroad\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Soo_Line_Railroad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Soo Line<\/a> mainline to Chicago. A few miles to the north was WC&#8217;s crossing of Soo Line\u2019s former Milwaukee Road mainline. (This confusing arrangement stemmed from Soo Line\u2019s 1985 merger with Milwaukee Road, and the subsequent spin off of former Soo Line routes which in 1987 had been regrouped as Wisconsin Central Limited.)<\/p>\n<p>Among WC\u2019s freights was T047, which connected with Soo Line in Milwaukee and so utilized the former Milwaukee Road mainline between Milwaukee and Duplainville.
