This is the second in my series of East Deerfield \u2018Railfan\u2019s Bridge\u2019 farewell; See:\u00a0Railfan\u2019s Bridge at East Deerfield\u2014my First Farewell<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sunday, June 25, 2017, Tim and I had circled Pan Am Railway\u2019s East Deerfield classification yard trying to find an angle, or a train.<\/p>\n

The sun was out, and it was raining. Tim said, \u201cThis is some pretty weird weather.\u201d<\/p>\n

We crossed the old \u201cRailfan\u2019s Bridge\u201d (McClelland Farm Road), and I looked eastward over the yard and shouted, \u2018Holy —-, Look at the rainbow!\u2019<\/p>\n

It started out faint, and gradually grew more intense as the sun emerged from a cloud-bank.<\/p>\n

Although it hung in the sky for ten minutes or more, there wasn\u2019t a wheel turning. Pity too. I think of all the thousands of photos I\u2019ve made around East Deerfield and in all kinds of light, but I\u2019d never caught a rainbow before!<\/p>\n
