{"id":15674,"date":"2016-06-12T05:25:43","date_gmt":"2016-06-12T09:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/?p=15674"},"modified":"2016-06-08T18:35:24","modified_gmt":"2016-06-08T22:35:24","slug":"brians-tip-of-the-day-for-better-photographs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/briansolomon.com\/trackingthelight\/brians-tip-of-the-day-for-better-photographs\/","title":{"rendered":"Brian\u2019s Tip of the Day for Better Photographs."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many photographers typically expose from a standing position, and\u00a0in many instances this provides a suitable vantage point.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, in some circumstances your natural standing height may not give you the optimal viewpoint.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not talking about gaining elevation; that\u2019s a topic for another day.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes making a small adjustment, by lowering the height of your camera can make for a noticeably different photograph.<\/p>\n<p>Both images below were exposed the other day from the Shore Line East high-level platform at Westbrook, Connecticut. I was using my FujiFilm X-T1 digital camera fitted with a 27mm pancake lens. This is a fixed focal length lens, rather than a zoom.
