Lately LUAS has made headlines in Ireland as the result of high-profile service disruptions owing to disputes with tram drivers.<\/p>\n

Looking back more than ten years; I made this photo at Heuston Station when the LUAS Red Line was still a relatively new service. Back then the 3001-series trams were still in a short configuration.<\/p>\n

From a photographic perspective, in their early appearance the trams seemed\u00a0a bit naked, as the safety-yellow banding hadn’t been applied.<\/p>\n

At the time of this image, the use of the center platform at Heuston was a relatively unusual occurrence.<\/p>\n
