And, this advice has been melded into the cardinal rules of <em>good<\/em> railway photography.<\/p>\n<p>The other day, while photographing along Mass-Central\u2019s former Boston &amp; Albany Ware River Branch at Gilbertville, I opted to violate this basic premise of good photography.<\/p>\n<p>Three considerations;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Over the years (35 of them) I\u2019ve exposed a great many images of the Mass-Central on its former B&amp;A branch. (A fair few of these images, I feel are indeed quite good, and perhaps border the category of \u2018above average\u2019.) So, if I end up making a bad photo (or two), who cares?<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">My 12mm Zeiss Touit lens is an unusual piece of equipment. In this instance, I have not applied any external filters.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So, are these photos <em>good<\/em>? Will I be fined by the aesthetics police? That\u2019s up to you to decide!<\/p>\n<p>But, honestly, what else would you have me do with a northward train coming directly out of the midday sun?
