Here\u2019s a pair of photos from the archive. It was a bright and clear winter day, when my father and I intercepted these\u00a0Amtrak Budd RDCs working the New Haven to Springfield shuttle.<\/p>\n

At that time, the Budd Cars (as I knew them) were standard equipment on the Springfield run. I have many fond memories of riding the RDCs.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m glad I have these slides, but I wish I\u2019d made many more image of the old Budds. A few of the RDCs survived into the mid 1980s.<\/p>\n
