In March 2001, Mike Gardner and I were poised to photograph a Norfolk Southern coal train destined for Strawberry Ridge, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

As dramatic clouds crossed the sky, I exposed this black & white photograph with my Rolleiflex Model T. A few minutes later I made colour slides of the coal train using my Nikon N90S.<\/p>\n

I like the way the curve of the tracks offers a near continuation of the curve formed by the tops of the trees on the left.<\/p>\n
